Calendula - Certified OG

Dried Calendula officinalis.

Ainsley’s love of calendula can be traced back to her days as a wee babe when she spent countless hours alongside her parents as they began building the family farm. She was often spotted in the field in a black bulb crate with calendula blossoms to interact with.

Each year her interest in this plant has grown -  she has learned how to save her own seeds in the fall, start her seedlings  in the greenhouse each spring, and harvest them throughout the summers. Ainsley's love of calendula has grown into a love of flowers in general - she now plants tulips and a small flower garden of her own to craft bouquets to sell at the family farmstand and local farmers’ markets.

Now, at age 9, she also dries and packs the calendula on her own in efforts to raise enough money to buy (and keep!) a pony she can use to help haul her flowers from one end of the farm to the other.
