Become a Collaborative Grower - Benefits and How it Works
You grow the herbs. We’ll handle the rest.
When you join Meeting House Collaborative and sell through our online Herbal Marketplace, we connect your high-quality, locally produced, organic and regeneratively grown herbs with customers across the US - without the hassle of running your own e-commerce site.
The Collaborative online Herbal Marketplace is ideal for:
-
Both new and established herb farmers looking for additional sales channels beyond farmers markets and CSAs
-
Growers seeking expanded reach without building and maintaining their own e-commerce infrastructure
-
Farmers who value community and want to be part of a collaborative network
-
Herb growers using organic and regenerative methods who want to connect with customers who share their values. Growers do not need to be certified, but must be following organic and regenerative standards.

Answers to some common questions.
Being part of an online marketplace is a new approach for many herb growers. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we get. You can also visit our full FAQ page for answers to questions you might not have even thought of yet!
Do I need to be certified organic to join?
No, you do not need to be certified organic, but we do require that you meet organic standards and grow regeneratively.
How much can I expect to sell through the marketplace each month?
Most online Herbal Marketplace growers in the Collaborative see sales between $300-$800 per month. Your sales will vary based on the quantity and type of herbs you list for sale on the marketplace.
What are the membership costs?
We offer two membership options:
-
Option 1: $55/month (or $600/year, save $60!) – You receive payouts at 94% of your sales
-
Option 2: $155 one-time payment – You receive payouts at 80% of your sales
Both memberships provide the same benefits, while providing growers the ability to choose the pricing model that best meets their needs related to upfront costs, cash flow, and long term margins. We keep our fees as low as possible, covering just the credit card transaction fees, taxes, website platform and maintenance fees, and staff required to run the marketplace.
Are there minimum quantities I should be growing before I start selling?
To get value out of being in the online Herbal Marketplace, you will want to be able to sell at least $100 per month. This would equate to ten 1 oz bags at $10/bag.
Can I sell herbs that you're not currently offering on your website?
Absolutely! Our website only shows herbs that are currently in stock with one of our growers. If you have other herbs available that you’d like to sell, or you are thinking about growing something new that you’d like to sell on the marketplace, send us a list at farmers@meetinghouse.farm and we'll let you know if we think the herbs will sell well.
Can I sell fresh herbs in addition to dried herbs?
Yes, growers participating in the online Herbal Marketplace can sell fresh herbs as long as they can ship them overnight to maintain optimum freshness.
Can I leave anytime if I find the Collaborative isn't the right fit for me?
If you signed up for the monthly membership option, you can cancel at any time. However, your monthly membership fees will continue until you have removed your products from public view on the marketplace, and we’ll continue to apply the settlement fees to any sales you make through the marketplace. The initial one-time fee, or discounted annual membership fee if you selected that option, is non-refundable.
I don't have a logo, marketing materials, or a website yet. Can I still join?
Absolutely! All you really need to get started is quality packaging and fabulous herbs.
We'll provide the platform, marketing, and customer base. We even offer ready-made blank labels that you can use to get started. As you develop your brand, you’ll be able to incorporate it into your product delivery to build your identity and loyalty with customers.
