Job Description – Farm Hands

Meeting House Farm — Scarborough, Maine

Join our amazing team of herbalists and farm workers at Meeting House Farm! We are looking for reliable, hardworking farm hands to help with the seasonal rhythm of our herb farm.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Weeding, planting, and general field maintenance
• Harvesting flowers, leaves, and roots
• Assisting with post-harvest handling and processing as needed
• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Qualifications:

• Previous farm, gardening, or landscaping experience preferred
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions, including sun, rain, and cool mornings
• Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically active tasks
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Reliable, dependable, and able to commit to the seasonal schedule

Position Details:

• Seasonal position: begins ASAP through October 31 (may extend into early November depending on weather)
  
• Applicants must be available to work at least 10 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 20 hours per week
• Workdays are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 8 AM and 4 PM
  
• Shifts are 5 hours long and weather dependent
• Weekly schedules with assigned shifts will be provided every Monday
• Compensation: $16-18/hour. depending on experience
