Rising Herb Farm
Nestled in the green hills of west central Indiana, Rising Herb Farm is a 10-acre homestead devoted to growing medicinal plants and preserving native flora. Staci Rising established the farm in 2017 to reconnect with the earth and the rhythms of nature. Since its inception, the farm has flourished into a thriving medicinal plant nursery, offering over 150 varieties of herbs, native plants, and heirloom vegetable seedlings.
Staci’s journey began with a small family garden and a porch filled with potted herbs. Over time, that modest start grew into a destination for local gardeners seeking high-quality medicinal plants and native Indiana species. In 2023, Staci left her career in academia to fully dedicate herself to the farm. Her deep appreciation for Indiana’s native plants—such as yarrow, goldenrod, and white pine—continues to inspire her work as she cultivates a farm that is in balance with the local ecosystem and supports her surrounding network of growers and herbal enthusiasts.
Today, Staci and her husband, James, who oversees the farm's infrastructure and livestock, are expanding Rising Herb Farm’s offerings to include dried herbs, in-person workshops, and medicinal garden mentorship programs. Through Rising Herb Farm, her mission is to inspire others to embrace the values of sustainability, seasonality, and community.
