Yomogi Mugwort - Artemisia princeps - Japanese Mugwort
Certified Naturally Grown and dried onsite at Moonrise Meadows Farm in Maple Falls, Washington.
Yomogi Mugwort is related to the common Mugwort found in Western herbalism, and has the same properties but with more pronounced aromatics. Stimulating, warming, bitter. Traditionally, Yomogi is enjoyed in a bath, in moxibustion, drunk as a tea, and used to flavor mochi.
This Yomogi was harvested when the plant was mature, and is recommended for topical use, smoke, or tincturing (it is very bitter!) Only the very young shoots are traditionally made into tea. Our favorite way to work with this plant is to steep it in the bath.
