Fat Peach Farm - New Hampshire
Jennifer Wilhelm founded Fat Peach Farm in Madbury, New Hampshire, with a dedication to sustainable, small-scale farming practices. She uses no-till, permanent raised beds to cultivate an array of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers, prioritizing soil health and environmental stewardship. Fat Peach Farm embodies her vision of organic and regenerative farming, emphasizing the importance of biodiversity and resource conservation.
Since expanding into wholesale and online sales in 2020, Jennifer has made her farm’s produce more accessible to the broader community. The farm’s operations also include research projects funded by Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (NESARE), such as studies on winter microgreen production and Permanent Raised Bed (PRB) systems. These initiatives contribute valuable insights into year-round food accessibility and natural weed control, supporting sustainable agriculture in the Northeast.
Fat Peach Farm’s community-centric approach offers volunteer opportunities and immersive stays, inviting others to experience sustainable farming firsthand. Jennifer’s work, both on the farm and through her advocacy, reflects her commitment to nurturing resilient food networks and inspiring others to engage in environmentally conscious agriculture.
