Comfrey Leaf

Dried Comfrey aerial parts
Symphytum officinale var patens

Comfrey is typically harvested May through October.

Traditional uses: Cell proliferation, cuts, and scrapes
Folk wisdom: Plant sacred to the goddess Hecate. Known affectionately as Knitbone, our ancestors in western Europe believed Comfrey could mend a broken heart or spirit as well as a broken bone.

Grown using organic and sustainable gardening practices at Rising Herb Farm near Poland, Indiana.

Plants are dried immediately after harvest in our on-farm drying facility to maximize
potency and preserve quality. True to our herbalist training, leaves are kept mostly whole to minimize volatile oil loss before use.
