Dried Mugwort aerial parts
Artemisia vulgaris
Mugwort is typically harvested April through October.
Traditional uses: Digestion, women’s issues
Folk wisdom: Sacred plant of the goddess Artemis. To early Germanic folk, Mugwort was one of their most revered ritual plants. Hanging fresh sprigs in the home was believed to protect women and children (especially in childbirth), and her leaves were a key ingredient in many recipes for “witch’s salves,” which gave them the ability to fly.
