Grown in Maine following organic, no-till regenerative farming practices. Red clover is a companion crop in the chestnut orchard. The deep root structure of the chestnut trees improves soil health for the clover, and the clover fixes nitrogen which nourishes the trees. Harvested by hand and dried on-site in a humidity controlled drying room to ensure product consistency.
