Motherwort
Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca)
Motherwort is a strong and steadfast plant with deeply cut leaves and an unmistakable presence in the garden. Harvested at peak vitality, the aerial parts are gathered when the plant is in full expression, preserving its distinctive character and intensity.
Our Motherwort is grown regeneratively, following organic standards, by Power Farm Herbals in Falmouth, Maine. Plants are dried immediately after harvest in an on farm drying facility to maximize potency, preserve quality, and maintain the integrity of the fresh plant.

From Our Experience
Motherwort is a plant we approach with honesty and respect. Its bitterness is pronounced and direct, and it tends to stand on its own rather than disappear into blends. We often think of it as an herb that rewards clear intention and thoughtful formulation rather than casual use.
