Lady's Mantle
Dried Lady's Mantle aerial parts
Alchemilla mollis
Grown regeneratively, following organic standards, by one of the Meeting House Farm Collaborative Farms.
Plants are dried immediately after harvest in an on-farm drying facility to maximize potency and preserve quality
We typically harvest Lady's Mantle from June through October.
In the Apothecary:
Preparations: Water infusion of dried leaf. We find a water infusion to be more beneficial than an alcohol one.
Uses: Female reproductive system support
Energetics: Cooling & Drying
Tastes: Tannin, Astringent
Herbal Action: Uterine Tonic
From our Experience:
The dried leaves of lady's mantle are a soothing base for a menstruation tisane. The taste is a bit like black tea and blends well with yarrow, mugwort, nettle & milky oats.
