Marshmallow
Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis)
Marshmallow is a soft and generous plant, known for its velvety leaves and gentle presence in the garden. Harvested at peak vitality, the aerial parts are gathered with care to preserve their texture, moisture holding qualities, and overall plant integrity.
Our Marshmallow is grown regeneratively, following organic standards, by Power Farm Herbals in Falmouth, Maine. Plants are dried immediately after harvest in an on-farm drying facility to maximize potency, preserve quality, and maintain the character of the fresh plant.

From Our Experience
Marshmallow brings softness and balance to the apothecary. We often think of it as a plant that teaches patience, inviting longer infusions and a slower pace. In blends, it has a grounding presence that gently supports structure without overpowering more aromatic herbs.
